Finca Garbet 2004 has been awarded a Great Gold Medal at the International Wine Challenge Catavinum 2012 held in Vitoria (Spain). Out of the 2,057 wines that took part in the competition, only 34 got the maximum award, reserved for those which scored 95-100 points. There are only 11 Spanish wines in this selected group.
Finca Garbet 2004 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, aged during fourteen months inside new French oak barrels. It is dark cherry red in colour. Its complex aroma combines flower notes, spicy hints and a balsamic finish with smooth ageing notes. In the mouth it is fine, but also very powerful. Tasty, wide, with fresh fruit notes. Well balanced. Though very present, its tannins are perfectly integrated. Finca Garbet 2004 is a very long wine that fills the mouth with flavours.
